Email Service Delays

 

On Thursday, 24 April 2008, the IEEE experienced delays receiving email and processing email from the Internet. A problem with a DNS system increased the lookup times for the resolution of email address which affected the IEEE UCE/Spam Filtering Service. As a result spam filtering slowed down and it also slowed IEEE's ability to received and process email.

The DNS issue was resolved and the email processing is back to normal.
